Broadly speaking, fund managers have three options when it comes to the administration of their funds:

1. In-house fund administration

Continue to support and invest in an entirely in-house function

2. Outsourced fund administration

Release all or some of that team and outsource some or all services to a specialist third-party fund administrator

3. Lift-out
