On 27 February 2025, the FSA announced the Draft Regulations for the Association of Authorized Fund Settlement Business Operators in line with Article 32, Paragraph 7 of the Cabinet Office Ordinance on Electronic Payment Means Transaction Operators. This provision specifies that when an electronic payment method substitutes all or part of a security deposit in margin transactions, the substitute price is determined by the rules of the Authorized Payment Service Business Association, as specified by the Financial Services Agency Commissioner.
